Mary Ann Phillips Beaman was born to Milton and Mariah Stone Phillips. Early in life she obeyed the gospel under the preaching of Eld.E Baker. She married Dr. Marion T Beaman in early 1879. She was a kind neighbor,friend, wife and mother. She became ill in the summer of 1895 and was a silent sufferer all during the time until the last week of her illness. Her strong desire to live seemed to strengthen her.
The 1880 census showed them having a daughter, Carrie. They had two other children, Carroll and Myrtle Agnes. Carrie probably died young.
