Son of Thomas Robbins, Sr. born 1774 Brunswick Co, N. C. and Mary R born 1785 Brunswick Co., N. C. Family may have been from Ireland.

Listed on internet as being buried here with his wife...though unmarked. I went there but it was impassable..totally. large trees down everywhere.
Bradley Cemetery in Straughn school area of Covington County is impassable now and located on private property. Thomas actually had 2 wives (1) Matilda Evans (1821- 1855 Covington Co, Al.) whom he married in 1841 and (2.) Martha Dauphin Bradley (6 Oct 1838-15 Mar 1915) whom he married on 19 Jan 1863 in Covington Co, Al. It is known that Thomas had 5 children by his first wife and 8 by his second wife.

From "Thomas Robbins Family" by Harrell F. and Judy Robbins of Escambia County, Florida...self-published and undated. My family copy says..
"The information in this book was gathered by Harrell and Judy Robbins. It was taken from census records in Covington County, Alabama, Marion County, South Carolina, church records and was proved back to 1774.
The first Thomas Robbins in the book was born in North Carolina and his father or grandfather along with several brothers came to this country for Ireland. They moved from North Carolina to South Carolina where Thomas Jr. owned a 1000 acres of land in Buck Swamp, South Carolina. They were listed in census records in Covington County, Alabama in 1840. Also listed were Sampson, Henry, Ichabod, William and James. Henry Robbins owned forty acres of land where Opp, (Al.) is now built. Evan Robbins along with other members of the family are buried in Cool Springs, Cemetery in Opp. Others are buried at Cotton Cemetery, Rose Hill, and also Good Hope. Our branch of the family goes back to Thomas (Sr) listed on the first page."
