Tayler Valentine Hefty, 13, entered our lives on Jan. 30, 1998, and went to be with the Lord on Feb. 4, 2011. He is survived by his parents, Jamie (Kris) Gott and Damion (Jessica) Hefty; sisters and brothers, Kelley Nesbitt, Preston Hefty and Bailey and Kristopher Gott; grandparents, Frank and Rochelle Stringer, Cherie Newton, Richard Hefty II, Michael and Lyn Gott, and Harold and Kathleen Tomlin; great-grandparents, Michael and Kathleen Cozzolino, Jeanette Stringer, Velma Winch, Olive Tomlin and Ann Smith; aunts and uncles, Tony Cozzolino, Shelley (Mark) Montee, Richard (Colette) Hefty, Eric Hefty, Melanie (JD) Marvin, Gennifer Wolf, Alice Tomlin, Rebecca Tomlin; and favorite aunt, "Aunty Morgan" Stringer; great-aunt, Katie (Danny) Cozzolino and numerous other relatives and friends. Tayler was soft spoken but a great jokester. He loved cooking, track, football and soccer. He was a great student, and most of all a wonderful son. Viewing, 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, George McCarthy Funeral Home. Service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, Temple Baptist Church. The family requests that everyone wear blue in Tayler's honor. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Tayler's memory to Goodnight School, through George McCarthy Funeral Home. Arrangements under the direction of George McCarthy Funeral Home.
