Mr. Ellis was retired from a welding and machine shop and was a member of Collins Full Gospel Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Sellers Ellis, and his parents, Noah and Martha Ann Harrell Ellis.
Survivors include three sons, J.B. Ellis of Durham, N.C., Sammy Ellis of Collins and Lawrence Ellis of Vancleave; four daughters, Madeline Allred of Collins, Jean Smith of Petal, Nell Germann of Durham and Martha Schmitz of Brandon; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
