Alain Laurent Budge, 50 of Rexburg, Idaho, died Friday, February 4, 2011 in Nevada from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born December 9, 1960 in Provo, Utah to Gisele Maryse Julienne Clapier and Rayo Beck Budge. Alain spent most of his life in Southern California until retiring from the LA County Sheriff's Department and moving to Rexburg in September of 2005.
Alain married Donna Kay Myers on July 13, 1996 in Bountiful, Utah and they joined their families together. He was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as an Elders Quorum president, Young Men's president in a bishopric and as a temple ordinance worker. He graduated from Lancaster University with an Associates degree in Aeronatics. He worked at Edwards Air Force Base on the NASA program, eighteen years as an Los Angles County Deputy Sheriff and for the BYU-Idaho Safety and Security Department. He loved life, his family, his sweetheart Donna and the gospel of Jesus Christ. He found joy in serving everyone. He was truly a selfless man. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycling, gardening, racquetball and basketball.
