Delmont Dean Allen was born on September 11, 1946, to Dale and Elizabeth (Volker) Allen in Morris, MN. He entered God's loving arms after a long and courageous battle with ALS on December 26, at the age of 64, at his daughter's home in Wadena, MN.

He worked as a barber for five years and was employed as a carpenter for Domier Construction for over 35 years. Delmont served in the Army National Guard. He was the Post Commander for the Portland American Legion, and a member of the Masonic Temple and Shriners. He was a former President of the Eagle's Club in Mayville, a member at Bethany Lutheran Church, and of the Mayville Vietnam Vets.
His free time was filled with farming, fishing, hunting, horses, spending time at the lake, visiting with family and friends, and participating in the Saturday morning social hour at the local lumberyard.
Delmont had a love of life, the outdoors, and his family. He was always willing to lend a hand and help anyone who needed it. He had a special gift, touching the lives of so many, and in return, their lives were better because they knew him.
