Beulah Beacon, Beulah, North Dakota May 1, 1986 Benjamin (Ben) Gramm, 75, Hazen, died on Monday, April 28, 1986 at a Bismarck hospital after a long illness. He was born on June 16, 1910 in Oliver county to Jacob and Fredericka (Jenner) Gramm. Gramm was raised on the family farm in the Beulah and Zap area, and at the age 12 moved with his parents to a farm east of Hazen and attended rural schools in Beulah-Hazen area. He married Frances Mittelstedter on Nov. 28, 1936. Gramm was engaged in farming and ranching east of Hazen until 1974 when the couple moved into Hazen and retired. He was a member of United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of Hazen; two daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Geraldine) Morris of Sacramento, Calif. and Mrs. Frank (Amijean) Campbell of Muskogee, Okla.; one son, Calvin of Hazen; also six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Otto (Priscilla) Mittelstedter of Livingston, Mont., Mrs. Charles (Marie) Russell of Stanton and Mrs. Kenneth (Sylvia) Enyart of Riverdale. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2 at 10:30 aa.m. MDT at United Methodist Church in Hazen with the Rev. David Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Hazen City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Erdman Funeral Home in Hazen on Thursday, May 1, from noon to 1 p.m. MDT for the family and from 1 to 9 p.m. for family and friends. Pallbearers will be Howard Bievber, Dale Neuberger, Ronnie Neuberger, Mark Rathjen, Lonnie Russell and Jim Wetzel. Erdman Funeral Home of Hazen was in charge of arrangements.
