Deceased was born in Alsace-Loraine on Dec. 27, 1861, and lived in that country until 1881. He then came to America and settled in Dent County, Mo., and later moved to Maries County. He was united in marriage to Miss Frances Barth, on January 11th, 1886, in the Visitation Church, Vienna. This union was blessed with seven children. The living are: Joseph F. Weider, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Schwartze, Mrs. Jesse (Theresa) Terwilliger, Mrs. Carrol (Kate) Duke; all of near Vienna, and William Weider, of Arlington, Mo. After coming to Maries County, deceased assisted with blacksmithing in Vienna, and later moved to a farm south of Vienna. After the death of his wife he made his home with his son Joseph F. He was a member of the Married Men's Sodality of the Visitation Parish. Funeral services were conducted from the Visitation Church Friday morning, following a Requiem High Mass, Father B. J. Scheffer, the pastor officiating. Interment was made in the Visitation Parish Cemetery. The Birmingham Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements. We extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved. May his soul rest in peace!

We wish to sincerely thank our neighbors, friends and relatives who so kindly assisted us during the sickness and death of our dearly beloved father and grand-father, Jos. Weider. We especially want to thank Rev. B.J. Scheffer, our pastor, for his words of consolation; Dr. S.C. Howard, and the Birmingham Funeral Home. Children and Grand-children.
