Mr. Brown,age 55, was born in Hardeman County, Tenn., to James Charles Brown and Mary Naomi Moody Brown.
He lived most of his life in Benton County, where he was a farmer. He was a Baptist. He died May 13 in Yakima, Washington, where he had lived for the last five months. He suffered a heart attack.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Henrietta Nelson Brown; three sons, James W. and Robert Brown, Jr. of Yakima, and Bobby N. Brown of Memphis, Tenn.; five daughters, Mrs. Hayden McDonald and Mrs. Bell Leopard of Moxee City, Wash.; Mrs. Marion Britt and Mrs.Wade Ray of Canaan, and Miss Beatrice Brown of somewhere in Ohio; half brothers, Andrew Brown of Walnut, Miss.; and Charlie Brown of Blue Mountain, Miss.; one half sister, Mrs. Jodie Brown of Blue Mountain and 20 grandchildren.
