Actress. She was one of the first African American women to get substantial dialogue parts on nationally aired television programs and commercials. She is best known for the role of secretary Peggy Fair on the popular TV detective series "Mannix", for which she won an Emmy Award in 1970. She also appeared in the feature film "Mankillers" (1987) and in the made-for-television movie "Donor" (1990). (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
