Cora T. Torgerson, 90, of Leonard, MN, died on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook, MN.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leonard with Pastor Bob Kirchman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Seljord Lutheran Cemetery near Clearbrook. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.
Cora was born May 19, 1920 at Leonard, the daughter of Christ and Carrie Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Seljord Lutheran Church. She attended the Neving school. ,
Cora married Earl Torgerson on May 4, 1937 at Bagley, MN. Cora lived all her life in the Leonard area until 2008 when she entered the Good Samaritan Center.
Cora was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, W.E.L.CA., and volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center for 18 years. She loved to bake, garden, and sew especially quilts. She read her Bible daily.
Survivors include- Two Sisters- Ruby Bardwell of Clearbrook Dorothy Erickson of Antioch, Ill. Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Earl on December 17, 1979, and 2 brothers- Howard and Harley Olson and an infant brother.
