Loren D Marks was the son of Jabez Marks 1803 and Frances P.
He was of South Valley, but lived most of his life in Roseboom, where he probably died.
He married Lydia A Gillett, daughter of Omri Gillett 1808 and Julia Eldred. Her parents lived in Middlefield.
After the marriage, the couple lived in Roseboom. The couple had two children: Loren D Jr 1868 and Leroy 1875.
Both Loren and Lydia and both of their sons LeRoy and Loren Jr are buried in the South Valley Cemetery.
