To Conduct Rites For Mrs. Whitney
RIPON-Funeral services will be held at the Butzin Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Jetty Porter Whitney, 73, of Rt. 1, Eldorado. She died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday at Ripon Municipal Hospital after an illness of two years.
The Rev. Jerry Moede will officiate at the services and interment will be in Rosendale Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 28, 1882, in the Town of Lamartine, the daughter of Frederick and Helen Shaw Porter. A member of the Elo Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service, she had lived in Ripon and the Town of Rosendale all her life. On Sept. 29, 1903, she married Roland A. Whitney.
Surviving are a son, Raymond, Town of Rosendale; a brother, Loren, of Miller, S.D., and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.
