Services for Marshall W. Trekell, 59, 1306 W. Irvin St., are pending with Denton Funeral Home. He died at a Lubbock hospital on June 18, 1987.
He was born in Grant County, Okla., on Oct. 8, 1927, and grew up in Alva, Okla. He moved to Borger, Texas, in 1959. On Nov. 1, 1960, he married Frances Lane in Pampa,
Texas. They moved to Kermit, Texas, in 1968 and lived there until moving to Carlsbad in 1979.
He attended Oklahoma City University and served in the army during the Korean conflict. He had been employed as a surveyor of natural gas pipeline for 25 years. His hobbies included reading and yard work.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, Carlsbad; two sons, Billy Scott Trekell and David Wayne Trekell, both of Carlsbad; four brothers, Russell, Robert, Allen Trekell, all of Alva, and Harvey Trekell Jr., Oklahoma City, Okla.; five sisters, Inez Osburn, Coolidge, Ariz., Fern Icke, Guyman, Okla., Viola Linda Trekell, Alva, Okla., Jeannie Terrel, Kansas City, Mo., and Esther Icke, Woodward, Okla.

Services for Marshall W. Trekell, 59, 1306 W. Irvin St., are scheduled Monday at 2 p.m. in the Denton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Moore, Carlsbad Bible Church, officiating. Burial is to follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Wayne Lane, Clifford Searl, Lloyd Searl, Eloy Lopez, Murray Ellis and Mike Cryer.
Mr. Trekell died in a Lubbock hospital on June 18, 1987.
