Edith R. Dye is the daughter of George Washington Dye and Paretha Estella Raybuck. She married Charles Edward Barr.

Edith Dye Barr, 86, of Shannon Valley Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at her home. She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late George W. and Estella P. Raybuck Dye. She retired in 1980 from General Electric Co., New Concord, Ohio. She was a member of Frazeysburg Senior Citizens and Richvale Grange.
Surviving are two daughters, Darliss Mock of Frazeysburg and Donna Melrose of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one sister, Cokie Turner of Zanesville, Ohio; two brothers, Shirley W. Dye of Duncan Falls, Ohio, and Everett Dye of Big Springs; eight grand-children; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Barr, on July 19, 1964; one son, James Everett Barr; three sisters; and five brothers.
Services were held at Frazeysburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial was in Presbyterian Cemetery (sic: Methodist), Norwich, Ohio.
