Thelma Marietta McMurdie Dalton Bronson. TREMONTON, Utah - Thelma Marietta McMurdie Dalton Bronson , 90, died Sunday, April 23, 2000, at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield. She was born Dec. 1, 1909, in Paradise, a daughter of James Kay and Dorcus Alverna Creger McMurdie. She married Arnold E. Dalton July 26, 1932, in Logan. They later divorced. She married Virl D. Bronson Nov. 5, 1959, in Logan. He preceded her in death. Marietta was reared and educated in Paradise and had lived in Lewiston, Bear River City and Penrose, Utah; Troy, Mont.; and was residing in Tremonton at the time of her death. She was a member of the LDS Church and had held various positions in different organizations throughout her life. But her first love was working with the scouts, where she spent 15 years; and teaching the youth.

Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Jack (Beverly) Dalton, Poulsen, Mont., Lee (Darnell) Dalton, Millville, Newell (Marlene) Dalton, Layton, Timothy (Lola) Dalton, Big Fork, Mont., and Sharon (Scott) Mitton, Tremonton; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27, at 11 a.m. in the Tremonton 2nd and 5th Ward chapel, 300 S. Tremont St., with Bishop Kay Williams officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, April 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 East, Tremonton, and Thursday from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
