Charlotte Addie (Jenkins) Woollens, age 91, of Landenberg, PA, passed away on January 28, 2011 after a long illness. She is the daughter of the late Raymond West and Edith (Fowler) West.
She enjoyed reading, making baskets, baking and gardening. In her younger years, she and her husband enjoyed traveling.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband 30 years, Dwight Woollens of Landenberg, PA; children, Glenda Hall and her husband, Joseph of Elkton, MD, Carolyn Butler of Landenberg, PA, Wilma Elliott and her husband, Donald of Rehoboth, DE, Elinor Jenkins of Fair Hill, MD, and Thomas Jenkins and his wife, Mary of Elkton, MD; step-son, Scott Woollens and his wife, Carol of Sanford, NC; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and her sister, Jeanne Kennedy of NC.
Along with her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Jenkins in 1991 and step-son, David Woollens, Sr in 2008.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011 at R.T. Foard & Jones, 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711, where friends may begin calling one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Kemblesville Cemetery.
