Coleman-Alice Naomi Coleman, age 85, of Starke, Florida passed away peacefully on January 28, 2011 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, with her family by her side. Alice was born in Starke, Florida on March 6, 1925 to the late Christopher Columbus Brantley and Mary Naomi Clements Brantley. Alice was a member of the River of Life Church of God in Starke and a graduate of Bradford County High School, Class of 1946. She was a homemaker who adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Jessie Bryant Coleman, her daughter, Pat Waddell; her son-in-law, Alfred "Al" Waddell; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (David) Kirkland of Keystone Heights, Florida; her grandchildren, Denise (Tim) Spratlin and Bryan (Brandi) Kirkland; her great-grandchildren, Shelbey, Cassidy and Cody Spratlin; and her sister, Virginia Purdee of Deland, Fl

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 12:00 pm at the River of Life Church of God with Reverend Gene Bass officiating. Interment will follow at Crosby Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of ARCHIE TANNER FUNERAL SERVICES, Starke, Fl.
