Mrs. Ruth Strausbaugh, Of Hanover Junction Area Succumbs At 74
Hanover Junction – Mrs. Ruth J. Strausbaugh, Seven Valleys RD 2, near here, died yesterday at 11 a.m. at York Hospital. The widow of George L. Strausbaugh, she was 74.
Mrs. Strausbaugh was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion (Shaffer’s) Union Church and also belonged to the Sunday school and Women’s Missionary society.
She is survived by eight children, George H. Strausbaugh and Mrs. Charles Wehrly, both of Glen Rock RD 2; Mrs. Luther Wildasin and Mrs. H. R. Palmer, both of Spring Grove RD 1; David M. Strausbaugh, 821 West Princess Street, York; Andrew C. Strausbaugh, Glen Rock; Mrs. Floyd Swartz, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Clair Altland, Jr., Seven Valleys RD 1; also 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Shaffer’s Church. Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, Mrs. Strausbaugh’s pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church. Goodling Funeral Home, Seven Valleys, has charge of arrangements.
