Robbin Lance Crosby
Birth: Aug. 4, 1959
La Jolla
Orange County
California, USA
Death: Jun. 6, 2002
Hollywood
Los Angeles County
California, USA

Musician. Born in La Jolla, California. He was the son of Harry W. Crosby, a schoolteacher and author of books about California history. Robbin was one of the original members of the Los Angeles rock band Ratt. He would end up co-writing many of Ratt's songs including "Round and Round", "Wanted Man" and "Lay it Down". The album Out of the Cellar went to triple platinum based on Crosby's co-penned "Round and Round". In the later years, Robbin would buy a home in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles. He later married Playboy Playmate Laurie Carr in 1987, eventually divorcing in 1991. They would have no children. Robbin was diagnosed with HIV in 1994. In a 2001 interview, he blamed his condition on a heroin habit that he acquired early on in Ratt's career and by using dirty needles. He had also been in and out of the hospital for eight years dealing with back problems and health issues associated with HIV. To occupy his time he became a Little League coach, and also worked on a guitar fan and collector project, which was to create a limited-edition run of Jackson King V "Big Red" replica guitars. Robbin died peacefully at home in Hollywood, California. The preliminary cause of death was a heart attack due to AIDS. He was 42 years old. (bio by: Shock)
