Donna Clem, Teacher, Dies At 54
Miss Donna Clem, 54, 879 Crayton Road, Shawnee, daughter of Prof. Ira Clem, died Sunday morning at St. Rita's Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
She was born in Lima, attended local schools, and lived with her parents at 605 N. Jameson for many years. In recent years and at the time of her death, she resided at 879 Crayton Road.
She was a teacher by profession and received a bachelor of science in education degree from Ohio University with majors in art and child psychology. She had taught all the elementary grades in the Youngstown and Lima schools and had dedicated her entire life to her chosen work, that of helping and teaching backward and retarded children.
Miss Clem was a member of the Episcopal Church, the University Club, various art groups and the Womens Business and Professional Club.
The only survivor is a brother, Dr. Robert L. Clem of Lansing, Mich. Both parents died in 1944.
Funeral services will be private.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of Davis, Miller and Son Funeral Home where friends may call.
