A fatal drowning casuality occurred in the lower lake last Thursday night. (Little Lakes on Hoke Rd) James Burke left the village of Warren at 11 p.m. It was storming and in crossing the lake he went Into one of the large holes. made by cutting ice. Earl Seeber and Lee Sheldon raised' the body to the surface Friday morning. He had been employed by Mr. Zoller at Pelhams some time and lived in the Sanford Tunnicliff house on Hoke Rd. He leaves a wife and there children, who have the sincere sympathy of the entire communty

James Burke born Feb 11, 1880 in O'briens Bridge Ireland to Pat & Mary (O'Brien) Burke. Came to America around 1890. Married Anna Holleran July 20, 1902 in NYC. he had 4 children Mary, Margaret, John, & Anna. He died Feb 10, 1921. He fell into Little Lake...(Read more)
