Tracy Loomis, son of Edwin Loomis and Philena Yeomans, is found in and 1855 and 1860 census with his father in Richfield, Otsego Co, NY. Therefore, he could not have died in 1851. Further research indicates that he served the Civil War, 7th NY HA, Co. C. The Richfield Mercury 29 May 1890, notes this: "Decoration day will be observed as usual in visiting and decorating with flowers the graves of soldiers and relatives and friends. There are two soldiers buried in our cemeteries that were in the war of the rebellion, Tracy Loomis and Charles Fenton..."

Another record,US Register of Deaths of Volunteers, reads: Tracy Loomis died 30 Jan 1864 at Regimental Hosp of Typhoid Fever


Tracy Loomis, son of Edwin Loomis and Philena Yeomans, is found in and 1855 and 1860 census with his father in Richfield, Otsego Co, NY. Therefore, he could not have died in 1851.
