Edna Stiles, 84, of Midway Street died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Stiles formerly owned and operated the Red House Drive-in Restaurant in Nashville. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Ky. She moved to Columbus in 1983.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Garland Brook Cemetery. There will be no calling. Arrangements were made by Myers Funeral Service, Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born Feb. 13, 1921, in Bowling Green, Mrs. Stiles was the daughter of Granger and Mary Pruitt Alford. She married Luther Stiles.
Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Smith of Columbus; sons, Don Stiles of Columbus, Harold Stiles of Avon Park, Fla. and Fred Stiles of Morgantown; sisters, Geraldine Minton and Mary Wilson, both of Bowling Green, and Marion Singleton of Houston; brothers, George Alford of Bowling Green and Lionel, W.G. and William Alford, all of Indianapolis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband; a son, Dallas Stiles; a sister; three brothers; and a granddaughter, Maria Smith.
