She was the daughter of Lewis Henry and Martha H. (Denny) Fletcher and married January 10, 1914 in Gentry, Putnam County, Tennessee to Alonzo "Lon" Morrow.

A story told by Mrs. Maurine Patton of Cookeville (Dec 1993) to the effect that Lon's wife was having his suit "remade" into a dress by a local seamstress. Supposedly she inquired if the "old thread" could be salvaged and reused, an indication of how "frugal" this couple was. Kenneth Pullum said that Lon and Lassie sold their farm and for a while lived with some of Lassie's relatives on a nearby farm. They both later moved to a "retirement home" in Carthage where they both died. Uncle Lon and Aunt Lass raised James Morrow one of the children of William Thomas Morrow. According to family stories, "Jimmy" left as soon as he was old enough to get along on his own, an indication he might not have had an "ideal childhood". Jimmy Morrow went to Detroit and some of his descendants live in Illinois. Lena Moore Paris tells of going to visit Uncle Lon and Aunt Lass. She said she didn't feel comfortable at their home because everything was "like a show home" with everything in its place and did not have a "lived in" feeling. She also said that after dinner (noonday meal) that Aunt Lass would "craw l up in the loft" and take a nap and no matter if "Jesus Christ Himself was coming" Aunt Lass would follow this ritual.
