Douglas McKey, 33, Dies After Brief Illness
Douglas Francis McKey, 33, only son of George McKey, East Street, this city, died at his home in Irving Place, Milwaukee, at 5 a.m. Tuesday after a short illness with pneumonia. He was born and received part of his education in this city. He was a graduate of Janesville High School and the University of Wisconsin.
After leaving the university, he took a long European trip and upon his return settled in Milwaukee, where he entered business and where he has since resided.
He was married six years ago to Miss Hazel Brown, Minnesota, and is survived by her and one son, Douglas, four years old. [Hazel was eight months pregnant with their daughter Mary at his death]. He was a partner in the Durant Manufacturing Co. of Milwaukee. A sister, Mrs. Charles Quarles, Milwaukee, also survives him.
The funeral will be held at the home, 414 Irving Place, at 2 p.m. Thursday and burial will be made in Milwaukee. Mr. McKey was with his son at the time of his death and will remain there until after the funeral.
