Born in Coeur d'Alene, ID to the late Jonas Jessen and Johanna (Busch) Jessen. She attended Dalton Gardens, ID grade school and graduated in 1931 from Coeur d'Alene, ID high school. She then took a secretarial course at night school after graduation. She married Orville Carson Shadduck, Jan. 25, 1934. She lived in Kellogg, ID from 1937-1942, moving to Hanford, WA in 1942, then Moses Lake, WA in 1946. Anna and her husband owned and operated Shad's Fountain in Moses Lake 1946-1950. They sold the business and started O.C. Shadduck & Assoc. Real Estate, which they operated 1950-1972.

Anna was active in civic work and youth organizations. She was Past Matron of O.E.S., receiving her 50-year membership pin in 1993, and was a charter member of Moses Lake Golf & Country Club, member of the Lutheran Church and she enjoyed golf, bridge and her many friends. Mr. Shadduck passed away in 1972. Anna sold the real estate business and moved to Twin Lakes, WA to be near her daughter and family. She returned to Moses Lake in 1976 and worked on the township until she married Henry J. Boyle in 1980. Henry and Anna traveled quite a lot. He passed away in 1988. Anna moved to Gig Harbor in 1991 again to be near her daughter & family. She is preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her daughter Jean (Carl) Steingrebe; grandsons Michael (Shauna), Mark, Marty and Marc; great-grandchildren Tessia and Thomas; and sisters Eva Rasmussen and Elsie Kessel. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, 1:00 PM at Key Peninsula Lutheran Church, Lakebay, WA, with burial at Vaughn Bay Cemetery.
