Kenada Cooper, born in 1796, was the son of Nathaniel Cooper and Christiana Hughes Cooper. His parents were born about 1765 in North Carolina and were married in 1791 in Greene County, Tennessee. Kenada's paternal grandfather was James Cooper, who was born about 1740 in Surry, North Carolina.
Kenada Cooper married Susannah Keesie about 1813 in Tennessee. They had seven children born in Greene County.
The Cooper family then moved from Tennessee to Johnson County, Arkansas sometime in the late 1820's or the early 1830's.
In 1840 the Coopers were living in the Spadra Township of Johnson County, Arkansas. By 1850 they were listed as living in the Horsehead Township of Harmony, Arkansas on the US Federal Census.
It is unknown where Kenada Cooper was buried. However, he was probably interned in the Watson Cemetery near their homestead, because one of his daughters was married to a Watson. That particular cemetery contains quite a few grave sites, but has very few monuments. The burial plots were marked with large boulders. So, the exact location of Kenada Cooper's burial plot will probably never be known.
