Mildred F. Gourley, 86, of Sligo, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10,2003, in her residence. Born April 2, 1917, in Piney Township, she was
the daughter of Harry and Lucy Greenawalt Botzer. Mrs. Gourley was a lifelong resident of Sligo She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Gourley was a Protestant. She first was married to
Reuben Heller, who died in 1941. She then married Ernest Gourley, who died Dec. 11, 1976. Surviving are one son, Richard Gourley and his
fiancee, Stephanie Heeter of Sligo; two daughters and their husbands, Jean and James Ketner of Sligo and Margy and Ronald Krenitsky of Butler; one grandson, Steven Ketner of Sligo; and three great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Elma Newell of Sligo; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Gourley was
preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Botzer; and three sisters, Helen Hackbart, Mary Keister and Gladys Dunkle. The family will receive
friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral
home with the Rev. Jerry Belloit, pastor of the Monroe Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Churchville
Cemetery.
