Synthia (Groo) Teller was born on 3 Nov 1799 in Neversink, Sullivan County, New York, and died in Ulster County, New York.
This site has transcripts of history of Neversink and there is a lot about Synthia's nephew Isaac who was a convert to Mormonism. The surname was clearly Groo and not Grew which I have seen in some places.
