Harry M. Elicker
YORK - Harry M. Elicker, 82, of York, died at 4 p.m. Friday at his home. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Laughman) Elicker.
The service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Baumeister, Orcutt and Small Mortuaries, Roosevelt and Madison avenues, York. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. The Rev. Leonard R. Klein will officiate.
Mr. Elicker was born April 7, 1920, in York. He was the son of the late Harry and Florence (Herman) Elicker.
He was an accountant for Allis Chalmers Corp., formerly S. Morgan Smith, for more than 40 years. He was a member of 13th Ward Political Club, the 25-year club of Allis Chalmers and Briarwood Golf Club; a co-founder and the first treasurer of Allis Chalmers Credit Union; and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze star.
Mr. Elicker is survived by a son, Theodore H. Elicker of York; a daughter, Linda E. Kenee of York; four grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Elicker of York.
Mr. Elicker was preceded in death by a grandson.
