W. L. Tauer, 58, of 1109 Bagby, died at a local hospital at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. He had been a resident of Houston for the past 30 years. Mr. Tauer was a railway clerk for the Missouri-Pacific Lines and had been with them for the past 18 years. He was also a member of the Alfred W. Drew Camp No. 18 of Spanish-American War Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. W. L. Tauer; three daughters, Misses Julia Mae and Myrtle Tauer, all of Houston, Mrs. W. D. Henderson of Beaumont; three sons, V. E., Bill and Buddy Tauer, all of Houston; one sister, Mrs. V. E. Woolsey of Shreveport, La. Services in the Fogle-West Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. A. B. Haines officiating. Burial in Hollywood Cemetery under the auspices of the Spanish-American War Veterans. All Spanish-American War veterans are asked to meet at the Fogle-West Chapel at 9:45 a.m. Thursday.
