---------------------------------------------------STOUGHTON - Mrs. Sophie Julseth, 73, Rte. 1, Evansville, died Monday evening, June 20, 1960 in Stoughton Hospital after a long illness.
The former Sophie Fosdal was born December 2, 1886 in Norway. She came to the this country at the age of 19. Her marriage to Albert Julseth took place May 10, 1910. They farmed in the Cooksville and Evansville area. He died in 1930. She was a member of Cooksville Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Alt, Boulder Junction, and Mrs. Thelma Martin, Cooksville; three sons, Arthur of Stoughton, Edwin, at home, and Norman, of Rte. 2, Evansville; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. H.A. Brunsell, Burlington, Iowa, and Mrs. Sigurd Hansen, Stoughton, and a brother Ole Fosdal, in Norway.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cooksville Lutheran Church, the Rev. A.R. Romstad officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Holzhuter Funeral Home here after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
