Alamosa resident Mary Elizabeth Gressman, 82, passed away January 17, 2010 under hospice care surrounded her loving family.
Mary was born on May 1, 1928 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Ida Parker. Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved the time she spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons Doug (Cheryl) Gressman of Aztec, N.M.; Craig (Carla) Gressman of Montrose, Colo.; Johnny Gressman of Alamosa, Colo.; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband John James Gressman, two daughters Darlene Coleman and Patricia More, sisters Helen Murphy and Velma Smith, brothers Cliff, Harold, and Lon Parker.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Alamosa Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4 at the Romero Funeral Home in Alamosa who is in care of the arrangements.
