Daily Democrat, Clinton MO - John Henry Jolley, 74, Clinton, died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, at the Consalus Chapel, Clinton. Burial will be In the Clinton MemoryGardens Cemetery. Mr. Jolley was born April 5, 1922 the son of Joseph W. and Minnie Perk Jolley. He was a veteran of the Army-Air Force. On May 31, 1941, he was united In marriage to Kathryn Bailey. He lived in Clinton all of his life, owning and operating a hatchery for many years. He was also a foreman with Stewart-Nattinger prior to his retirement. Mr. Jolley was a member of the American Legion Post 14 in Clinton. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, of the home; one daughter, Shirley Matteson and husband, Clyde, Calhoun; two sons, John Edward Jolley, Bill J. Jolley and wife, Robin, all of Clinton; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, James Jolley and wife, Jerry, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Maxine Jones and Dorothy Baumgarden, both of Clinton; a daughter-in-law, Margie Jolley; three sisters-in-law, Grace Wilson, Virgie King, Martha Mothersbaugh; two brothers-in-law, Edward Bailey and James Bailey; an uncle. Henry Peek, and several nieces and nephews.
