---Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. for Lou Ellen Thompson who died Sunday, February 17. Rev. Edward Sanders will be clergyman in charge with interment in the La Plata Cemetery. Bearers will be Lyle Collins, C. Ray Bowling, Dwight Gregg, Cleo Hunter, Don Crawford and Jimmy Wares.
---The daughter of John and Jane Mumford Thompson, she was born January 13, 1901 in Knox County.
---She is survived by one sister, Annie McConnell of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
---She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
---She was employed as an office nurse for Dr. Clarence Buckley and Dr. H.D. Lehr.
---She was a member of the La Plata Baptist Church.
