|Birth: ||Nov. 10, 1817|
David Arganbright was the son of Phillip Arganbright and Naomi Cox.
He married, first, Susannah Hickson on January 10, 1839 in Ross County, Ohio. By her he had four known children: Elijah, Phillip, John Wesley, and Mary. Susannah died in 1855.
He married, second, Winifred (Winnie) Swepston, in Ohio on April 5, 1858. They are in Harrison township, Vinton County, Ohio on the 1860 Census. Living with them, besides David's children, are Mary Frick, a 25 year old female, and her two sons, 4 year old George W, and 1 year old Henry. It appears that David adopted George, because he shows up in David's family on the 1870 and 1880 censuses as George W Arganbright.
Before 1863 the family moved to Wapello County, Iowa, near the town of Agency. Then in 1870, they are farming in Competine township, in Wapello County. David and Winnie had 11 known children: Martha, Charles W, Zalpha Samantha, Julia, May, Cora, Edward, Franklin, Fanny, Anna, and David junior.
