JACK MORRIS O'DELL
A former Douglas City resident, Jack "Digger" Morris O'Dell, 60, of Redding died Dec. 29 at Redding Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 7, 1938, in Williamston, Mich. He had lived in Douglas City and worked as a bartender at The Diggins in Weaverville. He moved to Shasta County in 1996. He was a past member of the Redding Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Terry O'Dell of Redding; sons Brian O'Dell of Kent, Wash., and Brad O'Dell of Manteca; daughter Pamela Sue Maire of Manteca; brothers Richard O'Dell of Harlington, Texas, and Duane Bitely of Michigan; half-brothers James O'Dell of Marion, Mich., and Denny Parshall of Charlotte, Mich.; and half-sisters Phyllis O'Dell of Denver, Colo., and Diane Parshall of Lansing, Mich.
Services were held Jan. 5 at the Sawmill Saloon in Weaverille. Donna Cherry and Nancy Pitts officiated.
