Veteran of the American Revolution -- He served with Hugh McClellan and marched to Boston on 20 Apr 1775.
He was "of Colrain" when, on Jul 25,1761, he bought 100 acres of land bordering on the land of Isaac Pennill. He did not buy a houselot until 1773, when he bought the last survey lot, no.5, from Peter Seaver.

He was born in either Londonderry,NH or Worcester,MA.
He married, first, Mary McClellan at Pelham,MA on Apr 8,1756.
He married, second, on Nov 28,1801, Esther Pattison.
