"DR. HARRIS DEAD
He Was a Prominent Physician of This City
After an illness of three weeks' duration, Dr. R. P. Harris, a prominent physician of this city, died at his residence, 329 South Twelfth street, at 1:40 yesterday morning. Dr. Harris' death is directly due to an attack of apoplexy, with which he was stricken on Thursday last. From that time he continued to sink rapidly until Saturday night, when a slight improvement was thought to have taken place. On Sunday morning he, however, began to sink rapidly, and continued to lose strength until death came at the above hour.
A nephew, William H. Benedict, was the only relative with Dr. Harris at the time of his demise. No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral."
