Taylor Allen Fenters, 19, Klamath Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 18, 2011, in his home in Klamath Falls after a long battle with childhood cancer.
Taylor was born to Scott and Janelle Fenters on Feb. 17, 1991, in Klamath Falls.
He graduated as valedictorian of his class from Henley High School in 2009, then attended Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash., majoring in theology.
Taylor enjoyed spending time with friends and family, taking photographs, playing ping-pong, golfing, bowling, and hunting. He was passionate about studying the Bible and taking mission trips. He believed in helping others and devoted his life to God.
During his freshman year at Whitworth University, he wrote a response to the question "For what do you want to be known?" "I want to be known for my commitment to following God's word, for loving others. I want to be known for my passion to serve others, putting others before myself. I desperately want to be remembered as someone who lived what he believed, and as someone who set a good example to those around him." His family and friends all believe he surpassed his personal goals.
Survivors include his parents, Scott A. and Janelle M. Fenters; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Jerris Fenters; brother, Jordan Fenters; brother-in-law and sister, Jon and Amy Redd; nieces, Sarah and Emily Redd; grandparents, Jim and Rita Cheyne; grandmother, Judy Fenters; uncle and aunt, Mike and Kathy Fenters; cousins, Anthony and Dale Fenters; and his many wonderful friends.
