Della was one of 12 children born to Obadiah and Amanda (Stiles) Cordell. When she was 18 she married Charles W. Wadman in 1903. They had 13 children, from 1904 to 1927. They were (in order): Merle, Erma, Blanche, Gladys, Mabel, Martha, Harry, Russell, Sally, Opal, Hazel, Juanita, and Ada. Only 2 are still living as of this writing: Opal and Juanita. Della died too soon - she suffered with thyroid cancer and passed away at 56 from a heart attack. She is remembered as a kind, caring woman who didn't have much time for hobbies because she was busy raising children. However, she did like a good card game!
