LANSING, IL

Doris Catherine Fejes (nee Ashton), age 92, of Lansing, formerly of South Holland, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011.
She is survived by son, John (Kathy); 11 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; daughter, Nancy (Dave) Herrold; son, Robert; and parents: Robert and Hettie Ashton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Schroeder- Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL. Burial Cedar Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m.
Doris was a longtime purchasing clerk for the U.S.G. Corporation in Chicago. While there, she won the Nathan Hale Star Sales Award, 1950. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Olive Chapter 179 in Oak Lawn for over 50 years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Doris' name to the American Cancer Society .
