Rev. W. L. Fussell

Funeral services for Rev. W. L. Fussell, 72, of Ore City were held Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Chapel in Diana. Rev. Ron Taylor officiated.

When Mr. Fussell stepped over into glory on November 24, he had been in the ministry for 50 years. He was born in Sabine County on April 7, 1929 and graduated from San Augustine High School in 1946. He was founder and president of International Word of God Fellowship in Longview, Texas. Interment was in Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Geneva, Texas at 2:00 pm.m with the Rev. Jerry Owens officiating.

Mr. Fussell was preceded in death by his father and mother, Pearl and Bessie Fussell.

Mr. Fussell was married to Sue Fussell of Ore City and she survives him. Other survivors include children; Rhea and Susan; one brother, Billy Neal Fussell, Milam; one sister, Doris Marie Carter, Carthage; three grandhildren; five great-grandchildren; 2 nephews, Billy Neal Fussell, II, and John Wesley Fussell; one niece Katherine Carter Ripper.
