George W. Bowser

George W. Bowser, 59, of Templeton RD 2 (Tidal) died Saturday afternoon at the Oakland Veterans Administration Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a short illness.

A son of Burleigh and Jennie (Helm) Bowser, we was a retired construction worker and a veteran of World War II, having served as a cannoneer with the infantry in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge.

He lived his entire life at Tidal, and was a member of the Russell J. Hilliard Veterans of Foreign Wars. New Bethlehem.

Survivors include his widow, Dorothy (Oss) Bowser; daughters, Miss Kay Bowser of Kittanning and Mrs. Richard L. (Cindy Lee) Fink of Templeton RD 2; sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Crete) Minick of Tidal and Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Aaron of Rimersburg RD 1.

BOWSER – Friends of George W. Bowser, who died May 11, 1974, are being received from 7 to 9 Tuesday, and until time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the J. D. Miller Funeral Home, Rimersburg. Officiating will be the Rev. T. Donald Hamilton, pastor of the Tidal United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Tidal Cemetery. Arrangements by Miller.
