Homer R. Failor
Homer R. Failor, 90, formerly of Riverview Drive, Upper Sandusky, died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, in the Wyandot County Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky, where he resided.
He was born in Eden Township, Wyandot County, March 21, 1908, to Ezra J. and Nora M. (Huffman) Failor. On Dec. 31, 1938, in Upper Sandusky, he married Martha M. Sell, who survives.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Lloyd Failor of Waverly and Floyd Failor of Napierville, Ill.; and a sister, Evelyn Turk of Heath.
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Miriam Hoock, Clara Williams and Esther Heistand.
Mr. Failor, a 1926 graduate of Nevada High School, retired in 1970 as a machinist from Colby Mfg., Bucyrus. He had previously worked at Daybrook Hydraulic in Upper Sandusky.
A 70-year member of John Stewart United Methodist Church, he also was a member of the Wyandot County Rod and Gun Club, both of Upper Sandusky, and had served in the United States Navy during World War II.
The Rev. John Hoover will be the officiant at the 2 p.m. Thursday service in the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be noon until time of the service Thursday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
