|Death: ||Mar. 26, 1842|
The farmer Peter Bish was the last of 4 children born to the baker Theobald Diebold "Dewalt" Bish and Mary Swartz. He was the only child born in Virginia. His oldest brother Frederick was born in Germany and his brother Johann & sister Catherine were born in Pennsylvania.
Peter married Phebe "Betsy" Blazer on 12 Sep 1797 in Rockingham Co., Virginia. Between 1799 and 1813 they had 8 children, all of which were born in Rochingham Co., Virginia. In the order of their births they named their children: Issac, Samuel, Sally/Sarah, David, Susanna, Catherine, Emanuel and Abraham Bish.
Peter is presumed to be buried by the side of his wife Betsy but the only grave marker in the Bish Family Cemetery that could be found in 2011 was for his spouse Pheby/Phebe "Betsy" Bish.
