Obituary

Celestia S. Leazer was born August 1st, 1854. She departed this life September 25th, 1922 aged 68 years, 1 month and 24 days.

When a small child she moved with her parents from Ohio to Lee county Iowa, where her youthful days were spent.

She was married to Charles Leach December 3rd, 1871. To this union were born six children. Edgar who departed this life in infancy, Tressa, Anna, Hubbard, George, Elbert and John Thomas. All of her children reside in this vicinity except George, who resides in Modesto, California.

In the fall of 1885 she moved with her husband to McCook, Nebraska. Her husband departed this life in the year 1892. This sad bereavement left her with five little children to care for, a task which she faithfully tried to execute.

After her husband's death she returned to this vicinity. Her last home was with her brother Harve Leazer of Sewal.

Besides her children she leaves her mother, three sisters and three brothers and a host of friends.

The funeral was conducted from the Sewal church by F. J. Sanborn of the Corydon Christian church. Interment in the Shriver cemetery.
