Born March 23, 1912, in Muskingum Township, he retired as a clerk for the US Postal Service, was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, a US Army veteran of World War II, and a 50 year member of Lafayette Lodge 79 F&AM. Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Bernard A. and Susan Jones of Cambridge; one brother, Alva E. Jones of Indian Head, Md.; one sister, Alice Hein of Tallahassee, Fla., two grandchildren, Clinton and Sarah Jones, both of Cambridge; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett W. and Daisy Winter Jones; his wife, Hilda M. Hughes Jones; one daughter, Marilyn K. Jones; two brothers, Dwight Paul Jones and Earl W. Jones; and one sister, Gladys Jones. Calling hours will be 4 to 8pm today at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. with Lafayette Lodge 79 holding services at 6:30pm.
Services will be held at 10am Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at the funeral home with the Rev. John Earhart officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
