Additional information Provided by the Nutt family 1/27/2014:

Born at Mills (historical) in Marion township, in Sanilac county, Michigan. Mills was located at the corner of Mills and Maple Grove roads.

There is a conflict as to the true year of birth for Norman Rowley. His gravestone records his year of birth as 1890, but Willard Winfield Rowlee's book on page 86 ("Lieut. Heman Rowlee and His Descendants") records the date of birth as 23 July 1889.

Norman Rowley, a single man, died at age 18 in St. Marys Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was learning the trade as a steel worker on tall buildings and was working on the Ford Building in Detroit. He was killed when a piece of steel knocked him down an elevator shaft opening. His death record reports cause of death as follows: "Inquest pending. Fracture of skull internal injuries with shock. Struck by descending elevator."
